After School Enrichment Opportunities
Lee Elementary School is proud to offer students the opportunity to attend fee-based after school classes during the school year. Beginning in September and continuing throughout the year, students will be able to attend a variety of enrichment activities. Please check the office for details.
The Youth Center offers instrumental music instruction on Tuesdays for students in all grades. Students are introduced to string or wind instruments and may participate in the district Learner's Orchestra. This is a year-long program that begins in late September. Students signed up for this program may join the Learner's Orchestra for an additional fee. Visit the Youth Center Website for more information.
The Los Alamitos Educational Foundation offers a wide variety of opportunities for our Leos. Classes such as Karate, Gardening, Science, and Art are examples of the many extended learning opportunities offered at Lee throughout the year. Visit the LAEF Website for more information.
Tuesdays for grades K-5. Students learn chess strategies that have kept chess a popular game for hundreds of years. Through lessons, workbooks, and mini-tournaments, kids are given the tools they need to become "Chessmonsters," the highest level an Academic Chess student can achieve. Chess is usually offered in winter and spring. View the Academic Chess Flyer for more information.
